My interest in making collage came about as a way of using some of the monoprints that pile up in the studio and it also satisfies my need to recycle materials.

Studio sessions can get pretty messy as paintings and linocuts that don't make the grade get torn up but I get a lot of joy from seeing the unexpected and exciting combinations of colours, patterns and shapes that emerge from the chaos.

I feel the resulting collages highlight the links between my painting and printmaking practices which in turn spark ideas for new work and although, at present, I regard these pieces as work in development I hope to offer some for sale in the near future.
